2 Year DSLR Warranty

Terms & Conditions
1. When you purchase any new Nikon FX DSLR from a Nikon Australia Authorised Dealer between December 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010, you will be supplied with a 2 year Australian warranty.
2. The Warranty Period begins on the date you purchased the Digital Equipment, as indicated on the purchase receipt or by any other evidence.
3. The Nikon Australia 2 Year Warranty covers the repair or replacement of your Digital Equipment in the event of any manufacturing defects during the Warranty Period which is two years from the date of purchase.
4. In the first year of warranty, proof of purchase must be presented when claiming under the Nikon Warranty. Proof of purchase may include the completed Nikon Warranty Card, the purchase receipt or any other evidence of purchase.
5. The second year of the 2 year warranty will be activated upon registration with NPS or NPS lite with Nikon Australia.

6. Nikon reserves the right to elect whether to repair or replace the Digital Equipment under this warranty. Repair or replacement of the Nikon equipment does not restart the Warranty Period.
7. This warranty does not cover:
(a) cleaning or maintenance of the equipment,
(b) damage to or failure of equipment due to normal use or fair wear and tear;
(c) damage caused by accident, misuse, do-it-yourself repairs, sand, grit or water;
(d) repair (or replacement) of the equipment outside Australia or by another Nikon entity;
(e) defects or malfunctions caused by damage resulting from improper care, misuse or abuse, or operation of this product contrary to the instructions contained in the owner’s manual;
(f) damage caused by any modification or servicing performed by person(s) other than Nikon authorised service facilities, any consequential or incidental damage resulting from a breach of this Nikon warranty (including as a result of any electronic data loss due to the malfunctioning or repair of the Digital Equipment).
8. This warranty is not transferable and is only valid if the Digital Equipment was purchased in Australia. If you purchased your camera overseas, you will need to approach the relevant overseas Nikon entity for all support and warranty claims.
9. This warranty is offered by Nikon Australia Pty Limited. Depending on the equipment purchased, an additional warranty may be offered by an overseas member of the Nikon company group. To see if your Nikon equipment is also covered by an additional warranty, check to see whether the equipment is covered by a Nikon International Warranty (see the terms of any Nikon Service Warranty Card which came with the equipment).
Important note: In addition to this Nikon Warranty, legislation in Australia implies warranties or conditions or imposes obligations on Nikon Australia Pty Limited in relation to consumer goods. The Nikon Warranty is an extra benefit and does not affect any legal rights you may otherwise have. |
