Nikon Warranty Conditions

 

Your Nikon equipment has been manufactured to meet the highest quality standards by NIKON CORPORATION, Tokyo Japan, a worldwide leader in the design and production of optical precision instruments. We urge you to take good care of your equipment and always be sure to follow all instructions carefully. If you do, the equipment will serve you long and well.

 

Nikon Local (Australian) Warranty

 

Digital Equipment (Digital SLR's, COOLPIX Cameras & Coolscan film scanners)

 

Terms & Conditions: 

·         Your Nikon equipment is guaranteed against any manufacturing defects for one year from the date of purchase.

·         During this period, repairs or adjustments will be made free of charge only upon presentation of the Nikon Worldwide Local Warranty Card (Copy 'C', customer's portion) together with the purchase receipt or other evidence of purchase to the authorised Nikon Service Facilities from your country of purchase.
(e.g. If you purchase your camera from USA, you will need to approach Nikon USA for all technical support and servicing.)

·         The warranty does not cover cleaning and maintenance of the equipment.

·         The warranty card must be presented to the Nikon Service Facility before any repair can be made under warranty.

·         Establishing the original purchase date should be made by the original consumer purchase via the sales slips or other evidence.

·         Damage caused by accident, misuse, do-it-yourself repairs, sand, grit or water is not covered by this warranty.

·         The warranty does not cover items like battery, silicon gel, O-ring or any item that will degrade with time.

·         All mail or transportation costs including insurance are at the expense of the owner. All other claims of any nature are not covered.

·         Warranty for digital products is only valid in the country from where your dealer purchased the camera. 

**WARNING**  Please be wary of dealers claiming to be able to sell or provide you an international warranty for digital equipment when you are purchasing overseas. THIS IS FALSE. International warranty is unavailable for the above items.

 


 

Nikon International Warranty

 

Conventional equipment (Lenses, Film SLR’s, compact film cameras & Speedlights)

 

Terms & Conditions:

·         Your Nikon equipment is guaranteed against any manufacturing defects for one FULL YEAR from the date of purchase. 

·         During this period, repairs or adjustments will be made free of charge only upon presentation of the Nikon Worldwide Service Warranty Card (Copy 'C', customer's portion).

·         The warranty does not cover items like battery, silicon gel, O-ring or any item that will degrade with time.

·         The warranty does not cover cleaning and maintenance of the equipment.

·         Warranty is only available if the Nikon owner resided or travelled in the country of purchase and the product was purchased from an authorised Nikon dealer in that same country. Proof of residence may also be required.

·         Your Nikon equipment is guaranteed against any manufacturing defects for one year from the date of purchase.

·         The warranty card must be presented to the Nikon Service Facility before any repair can be made under warranty.

·         Establishing the original purchase date should be made by the original consumer purchase via the sales slips or other evidence.

·         Damage caused by accident, misuse, do-it-yourself repairs, sand, grit or water is not covered by this warranty, which is only valid at a Nikon Service Centre.


 

Nikon International Warranty

 

Conventional equipment (Binoculars/Sport Optics)

 

Terms & Conditions:

·         Your Nikon equipment is guaranteed against any manufacturing defects for TEN FULL YEARS from the date of purchase. 

·         During this period, repairs or adjustments will be made free of charge only upon presentation of the Nikon Worldwide Service Warranty Card (Copy 'C', customer's portion).

·         The warranty does not cover items like battery, silicon gel, O-ring or any item that will degrade with time.

·         The warranty does not cover cleaning and maintenance of the equipment.

·         Warranty is only available if the Nikon owner resided or travelled in the country of purchase and the product was purchased from an authorised Nikon dealer in that same country. Proof of residence may also be required.
