Delivery and Return

Based on your booking preference, we will ship your rental by courier along with a return shipping label/consignment note. Please ensure you return you product within the agreed booking period.

Rental Period

Your rental begins the day of the booking and must be returned the last day of your booking (please include transit times when returning product).

How does delivery work?

Nikon Australia will use couriers for delivery, and we will attempt to deliver your rental on the start day of the rental period, but transit delays are outside of Nikon Australia’s control. 

I missed the courier?

If no one was at the delivery address, the courier will leave a card/ID and deliver the equipment to the local post office for collection.

Lost Items

We understand mistakes can be made. If a loan product(s) and/or accessories cannot be returned in full within a reasonable period of time, they will be replaced at your cost. Please double check everything upon return such as lens and body caps, chargers, batteries, lens hoods, filters, tripod collars, camera bags and lens pouches.

Overdue Loans

If we are advised prior to the return date of your loan that an extension is required, an assessment of available products will be made and a paid extension may be possible. If we are experiencing high demand or are in peak season an extension may not be granted.
If we aren’t advised, late fees will be applicable.

Damaged Rental Gear

Accidents happen, and we understand!  Damage is the hirer's responsibility. If you have reduced your excess at the time of booking, only the excess will be due. However, if you have not paid for insurance, a quote for repairs will be provided for repair or replacement.  

Lost or Stolen Equipment

Lost or stolen gear is the responsibility of the hirer. If you have reduced your excess at the time of booking, only the excess will be due. However, if you have not paid for insurance, a quote for repairs will be provided for repair or replacement.

Do I need to pay a security bond?

Ordinarily, we do not take a bond, however, there may some instances where a bond is required

Our commitment when we provide Nikon equipment?

As a part of our standard operating procedure, all equipment is checked, cleaned, updated and serviced upon return after every rental. We are committed to providing loan equipment in the best possible condition to ensure an uninterrupted and seamless experience trying out Nikon products.

Can I take my rental equipment overseas?

Nikon Australia may approve at its sole discretion transport of its rental equipment for overseas travel if the customer has adequate proof of insurance, travel documents and advises Nikon Australia no less than 5 days prior to travel. In the event of damage, theft, or loss of equipment and/or accessories, responsibility remains with the hirer.
