Lenses designed for Macro Photography.
NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S
The first NIKKOR Z lens with a 1:1 reproduction ratio, it fills the frame with the edge-to-edge sharpness and the overwhelming image quality that has become a hallmark of premium S-Line lenses.
Whether you're shooting wedding details, jewellery, food, flowers, products, nature, wildlife or even portraits, it takes your vision into the extraordinary.
NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8
50mm is a natural focal length. Similar to our field of vision, it just feels right in so many situations.
The NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 brings that just-right feeling to the exciting world of macro. Shoot as close as 0.16m and capture the smallest details at 1x lifesize magnification—ideal for spontaneous snapshots, food photography or exploring the small details of everyday life.
NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8
While not technically an ‘MC’ lens, the NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8 features a short minimum focus distance of 27 cm and a long focal length. When combined, this allows for captivating close-ups.
When combined with a 2x Teleconverter, the maximum reproduction ratio becomes 1:0.96 which is extremely close to our Macro lenses.
The Correct Lens is Essential
There are two main factors that determine if a lens is capable of extreme close up or ‘MC’ photography.
The first thing to look for is a low minimum focusing distance, which will allow you to be physically closer to your subjects, such as the NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 S which can focus at just 16cm.
Secondly, we recommend lenses with a 1:1 reproduction ratio. This means that if an object is 3cm in real life, it will be projected onto your image sensor at exactly 3 cm, which allows for the most detail possible.

Accessories.
Get closer, sharper and better macro photography with our range of Nikon accessories.
SB-5000 Speedlight
Extreme close-up photography means you may often have to shoot at fast shutter speeds and narrow apertures, both of which limit light intake.
The SB-5000 can deliver a powerful burst of light to ensure your subjects are tack-sharp under challenging lighting conditions.
ML-L7 Bluetooth Remote Control
When working with such tiny scenes, any camera shake or movement is amplified massively. To counter this, the ML-L7 Bluetooth Remote will wirelessly trigger your camera without the risk of you touching it, causing unwanted movement.
Mount Adapter FTZ II
Have an older NIKKOR F-Mount Macro Lens? The FTZ Adapter allows you to work with older lenses while still benefiting from the powerful speed of your Nikon Z Series Mirrorless Camera.
Select the perfect gear.
Everything you need to take your macro photography to the next level.

At 30% lighter than the previous F-Mount 105mm lens, the new NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S has amazing image stabilisation and is the sharpest macro lens I’ve ever used, from f/8 all the way to f/22.
