Sydney, Australia, 17 June 2021 – Nikon Australia is pleased to announce the expansion of the Australian subsidiary with addition of the Healthcare Business Unit, focusing on the microscopy market. Nikon Australia will focus on the expansion and development of its microscope markets across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific region.

The Nikon Healthcare Business contributes to improving the quality of life for people through digital solutions in the educational, clinical, and research fields. It is a meaningful area to be working in and realises the capabilities of Nikon through emerging technology," said James Murray, Managing Director, Nikon Australia.

Nikon Australia has appointed Dr Sheng Le PhD as Business Development Manager. “Sheng joins the Nikon Australia team to establish our Healthcare Business Unit. Sheng has extensive experience in this field, as well as business operations,” Murray continued.

The newly established Healthcare Business Unit will operate from Nikon Australia’s Sydney Headquarters. Current Nikon microscope distributor, Coherent Scientific, will remain part of Nikon’s team, managing South Australia, Western Australian, and New Zealand territories. Newly appointed Klein Australia will distribute and support Nikon general microscopy products in Victoria, and Scope Scientific will continue to manage the Nikon general microscopy portfolio in Queensland.
