About Nikon Healthcare Business Unit
Nikon Healthcare Business contributes to improving people's quality of life around the world by providing life science solutions, eyecare solutions and contract development and manufacturing solutions to the bioscience and medical fields. Nikon is the world leader in microscope-based optical and imaging technologies and will have a direct presence in the Australian and New Zealand market in 2021.
Microscopes can be described as a crystallisation of the optical technologies that are Nikon's core competence. In more recent years, Nikon has also developed multi-photon microscopes using super-short-pulse lasers. These developments made it possible to observe the deeper parts of living tissues and cells. There is a demand for superior microscopes and microscopic image-processing technology for the most advanced fields of regenerative medicine, drug creation, and preventive medicine.
Using the technology "to make the invisible visible", Nikon will go on deepening the communication with researchers active in these fields, as well as support the further evolution of the most advanced areas of life sciences research.
