Powerful new advantages for nailing critical moments.
Greater detail and definition in video. More control and personalisation options.
New
Make it auto-easy
with Auto Capture.
Whether you’re using the Nikon Z 9 for wildlife, sports photography or videography, the new Auto Capture function makes capturing easier than ever - especially for users who handle multiple devices.
The new Auto Capture allows users to automatically capture subjects under predefined shooting conditions with the Z 9. This new feature opens up a world of possibilities by removing the need for photographers and videographers to be stationed near the camera to make decisions. This is particularly useful for photographers when the camera is positioned in hard-to-reach places.
How does Auto Capture work?
Auto Capture is made possible by defining the capture settings for motion, distance and subject detection for capturing stills and videos remotely. Once the previously set conditions are met, Auto Capture releases the shutter and captures the right subject at the right distance and direction. Allowing you to define the exact moment when the camera should start capturing beyond time alone.
Motion.
The camera continues shutter release when it detects motion in designated directions.
Distance.
The camera continues shutter release when a subject is in the designated distance area.
Subject Detection.
The camera continues shutter release while it detects designated types of subjects.
New
Achieve breath-taking videos with enhanced ISO sensitivity range in N-Log.
A new Lo 2.0 setting (ISO 200 equivalent) for N-LOG captures more details in shadows with extremely low noise. Even when your subject looks dark against a bright background, you can reveal its details beautifully in post.
Enhancement
High-enjoyment with High-Res Zoom.
Capture the perfect shot with wider, finer speed setting adjustments that allow you to capture shots as intended.
New
Explore a slower pace of life with slow-motion video.
The newly added slow-motion video feature allows users to easily film in both 4x and 5x slow-motion speeds* in-camera.
Enhancement
More time to nail the decisive moment with Pre-Release Capture.
Now you can keep Pre-Release Capture activated for up to 300 seconds.
Exposure Delay.
The addition of Exposure Delay functions helps users to avoid image blur caused by vibrations when pressing the shutter button.
Improved 3D Tracking.
The improved 3D tracking and detection capability enhances performance when capturing small, fast-moving objects.
Enhancement
The joy is in the upgraded details.
Take your still photography to the next level with an array of performance enhancements and features that give you even more control over every aspect of your camera.
By extending the time limit before Pre-Release Capture stops beyond 30 seconds, users can now be ready to capture the perfect shot even if they’re waiting a long time for it to arrive.
The addition of Exposure Delay functions helps users to avoid image blur caused by vibrations when pressing the shutter button, while the improved 3D tracking and detection capability enhances performance when capturing small, fast-moving objects.
