Inspiration is something I constantly try to surround myself with. Whether it's music, words or visuals, I feel like I always get motivated by all forms of art. I love reading and watching interviews of other successful creatives from all different industries to get insight on their process to open up my mind to new perspectives.

Also just getting outside, moving my body and doing something completely different to what I'm normally surrounded by helps to clear my head and brings new thoughts and ideas in and keeps the creativity flowing.

The colour of my Nikon Z fc reminded me of nature and stillness. Specifically, it incited memories of quiet vineyards, empty pine forests and the damp, lush bush where I grew up. For this piece, I emulated how vines twist and intertwine in the wild. I like to follow the direction and shape the clay naturally takes as I build, and not be too methodical or strict in my practice. This piece was created by hand and the clay is coiled and stacked on top of itself. It’s a slow and meditative process, and the end result is just as calming.

I’m Elliot, a graphic designer and content-creator who loves to break down the humour of the design industry through design itself. I get inspired by constantly experimenting and trying to reinvent my design style through everything I do. The Z fc has given me the chance to use photography in my work - something I’ve never done before - and the beautiful Crimson Red colourway was a key inspiration for the poster I’ve designed. 

I’ve combined three designs consisting of three photos I’ve taken and compiled them into one poster. While I don’t think I’m a photography prodigy or anything… It was a bunch of fun to use the camera as a tool for my design process, much like how I use Photoshop and Illustrator. I’m super happy with the end result!
